Project Residencies are three weeks long, and are offered in late summer and early winter. Artists selected for these short-term residencies focus on a single installation project, which is exhibited in a group show for 6-8 weeks. Artists receive a stipend, space and technical support. They may live on site while completing their work.
All artists are invited to submit proposals for Project Residencies. Proposals are reviewed by the Carriage House curatorial staff and selected by senior curator, Karen Shaw. Selected applicants are notified one month after the program deadline.

Three-month studio residencies are not project specific, but instead are designed to promote career development. They are especially suited to artists working, or thinking about working, on a large scale. Artists are given several spaces for up to three months to work in any way they choose. This program includes visits by leading gallerists and critics to review work in progress. Open Studio days allow the public to meet and interact with residents, often providing artists with insightful feedback.
Artists chosen for studio residencies are assigned living quarters. Because living spaces are rustic and without kitchen facilities, artists may not live on site full time. Studio residencies are offered in the winter and summer.
Artists working in all media, including film and video, are invited to apply. Applications are reviewed by curatorial staff and selected by Studio Residency curator, Jason Paradis. Selected applicants are notified one month after program deadline.
